PSR REPORT:

• None

PRINCIPAL’S REPORT:

• Tuition amount owed from last year went up slightly; a letter will be going out to parents that are behind in payment
• Matching gift balance is at $42,051.75
• Main building security system is still under consideration
• Next week, every School Improvement Committee will present to the large group; both pastors have been invited
• Principal is trying to set up a volunteer nurse program with the parents of school children that are nurses; they would handle accidents/sickness during the middle of the day and the organization of immunization records
• Preliminary budget for 2008-2009 was reviewed
• An Archdiocesan workshop will be held regarding financial constraints and enrollment issues in North County schools
• The parish has recently asked for volunteers to the deanery committee headed by one of our parishioners

FINANCE:

• The parish underwent an audit this past spring; recommendations were to keep a balance sheet of all organizations
• Finance council is pleased with tuition collection amounts
• New chairs and possibly new tables will be purchased

POLICY:

• A letter will be sent home with 8th grade parents reminding them that transcripts will not be sent to high schools if the family is not in good financial standing with St. Ferdinand

MARKETING:

• Virtual tour will be completed soon
• Brochure needs to updated by Fall Festival
• Possibility of making new bumper stickers
• Discussion was held regarding extending the marketing of the school to churches of other denominations; a new parent has recently joined the marketing committee and will be working with the regional committee as well
• Banners are being printed by the Archdiocese for each school
• Marketing committee still needs new members and new ideas

OLD BUSINESS:

• Plans for the Preschool Fall Festival were finalized
