PASTOR’S REPORT:

  • Drainage problem correction is underway

PRINCIPAL’S REPORT:

  • Matching gift balance is $36,844.25; we had $15,000 in our budget for St. Ferdinand families
  • School Improvement Process meetings will take place on September 17th, 24th, and October 1st and 15th; school profile will be reviewed and three committees will write a document on how we are doing in the areas of Catholic Identity, Institutional Issues, and Educational Issues; this document will include a 5 year plan of growth
  • Elective course packets were given out for review and packets will go home with students on Wednesday; program will be open to 5th-8th grade students

  • We need to decide on a policy for forwarding records of eighth graders in November if tuition payments have not been made

  • Next meeting will be held at 6pm on September 17th.

OLD BUSINESS:

  • The Back to School BBQ went well; we purchased 240 hamburgers, 240 hotdogs and about 400 plates
  • Discussion was held about whether or not we will continue to do the Hazelwood Harvestfest; we will decide in May of next year

NEW BUSINESS:

  • A suggestion was made to check into comparing ITBS scores with those of public school standardized testing; Principal will check into this
  • The Preschool Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, October 13th; the funding of this event now comes directly out of the Home and School budget
  • We need to update our school brochure and get copies for the Fall Festival
