HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND A BLESSED CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

Vacation time can be a learning time as well as a fun and relaxing time. Perhaps there will be some time in the kitchen for fun and learning possibilities. When kids help cook, they have opportunities to read the directions in the cookbook, to do math by measuring ingredients, to observe scientific processes when heat alters food, and to practice following
step-by-step instructions.

Also, encourage reading by giving a gift of a new book. Books relating to a hoby or a child's interest will not only entertain, but will be educational as well. With new books in hand the family can enjoy a reading night together.
