October happenings in the Music Room
|
| |
As we begin the second quarter our fourth graders will be playing the recorder. They started learning how to play the recorder at the end of third grade. They have been waiting very patiently to begin playing the recorder this year. The students who complete the black belt will then begin learning some Christmas songs. They will receive beads to tie onto the ends of their ribbons as they play the songs successfully.
This month of October our classroom has been filled with a variety of Halloween songs. The students always enjoy singing songs for Halloween. Some of their favorite songs are "Halloween Rap", "Igor" and "Scarin' Alive". They never get tired of singing these songs each year.
This month also brings out our songs for the Advent Program. The odd number classes have begun learning some of the music that they will be singing for the Advent Program this year.
