Music

The Second Grade classes participated in the St. Louis Archdiocesan Elementary Schools Song Festival on March 12, 2008. The students did a fantastic job.

I would also like to congratulate six of our students who received an award at the St. Louis Metro Music Educators Recognition Night. The awards were given for their achievement in music throughout the school.

Our Spring program is approaching quickly and the students in Kindergarten, Second, Fourth, Sixth and Eighth grades have been practicing the music for the program. The Spring program will be presented on April 16th at 7:00 p.m. Those students participating in the program will be celebrating Grandparents/Special Person Day on April 15th. The students will perform their program for them this morning and then enjoy some cookies and punch with their Special Person.

Our Third Graders are beginning to play the recorders for the first time. They are very excited and are looking forward to seeing how far they can advance.

Finally, I would like to thank the students who have worked during lent to play the tone bells at mass. They gave up their recesses to practice the music. They did a great job.
