Second quarter is off to a great start. We are showing our light to the world by sharing other's sorrow and thirsting for justice. We are collecting food for the poor and also trying to include others at recess in our games.

In class we are working hard in all subjects. We have just finished reading a very interesting informational article in Reading class titled "The Planets in Our Solar System". In this article we learned about the sun and all the planets that make up the solar system. We also learned to summarize and use the main idea with supporting details. We used the internet with our teachers help to further researach the stars and outer space. Our next Reading story will explore autobiographies. This sounds very interesting. Hopefully we can write about our own lives sometime this year.

In English class we are learning about common and proper nouns. We wrote a holiday song using five common and proper nouns. This was really fun! The best part was sharing our songs with the class.

Our next mass will be January 9, 2008.
