Welcome to 6I February

Our mission project, Magical Mondays for Haiti, has been our prayer focus and has deserved our extra attention. We have calculated and counted and calculated again. We would like to raise $1000.00 and we are only $11.00 away from this goal. We know we will make it. We are so grateful for all the donations. Our first Magical Monday was a success with many students dressing out of uniform. Next Magical Monday we will watch a movie together and have a treat at the end of the school day. Our very last Magical Monday will find us having forty five minutes of fun in our classes!

We are reading Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls and loving it. The hardest part for the students seems to not be able to read ahead. We are studying it as our class novel project. The students are also looking forward to the book projects they can select at the end of our study. We hope to fill the foyer glass case when we are finished.

Science finds us studying matter, solutions chemical reactions and finally in this unit; properties of acids and bases. We will have some interesting labs for these lessons.
