Welcome to 6I
October
Our tadpole’s tails have almost disappeared and we will need to wish them well as the three frogs continue their lives as frogs living on land. Thank you to the family who enabled us to share in this experience.
In Science, October finds us examining how organisms change and adapt to their environments. Then we continue this area of study by looking at ecosystems and biomes.
In Literature we are studying and writing biographies on students in our classroom. We will take advantage of the computer lab to aid us in this writing process. Our book report this month is an autobiography or a biography.
Our Religion is focusing on God’s promises and covenant with us. We have been reading stories from the Old Testament to examine the many times God has forgiven us and how he helps and guides us back from sin. Don’t forget our virtue this month is reverence.
The Spell-a-thon is an exciting week and we are geared up for our spelling quizzes. This is in conjunction with Red Ribbon Week where we will examine our choices and our desires to remain drug free and to choose ways to help us develop into the gift that God has planned for us. We are each other’s gifts and our challenge is to remember to see Jesus in every one we meet.
Finally, I look forward to Student/Parent Conferences at the end of this month!
