November Welcome to Homeroom 6I
Thanksgiving is next week and everyone is looking forward to this wonderful holiday. Our bulletin board committee created a very nice holiday board with the help of everyone in the class. Our December bulletin board committee is already hatching their ideas for next week.
Our reading of our novel To Kill A Mockingbird is enjoyable. The plots are developing and we all get discouraged when we our out of time and must wait until tomorrow. We are also reading biographies and autobiographies on our own. These book reports are due December 2.
We are preparing to host the November 26th mass. We are sharing our responsibilities with our First Grade Buddies. We hope, with our help, they will become more familiar with their roles to host their own masses second semester. Our sixth graders have shown much compassion for their Buddies during this learning process.
Our character development topic is courage. We will explore this trait in our poetry. We are also creating skits highlighting the courage it takes to choose positive choices for positive consequences.
