Wow! I just can't believe it is almost Easter. I hope that this Lenten season has been very special for everyone. The children have been working very hard working towards their Lenten promises at school. We were very happy to celebrate the sacrament of Reconciliation last week. We will be working on Chapter 21 in religion this week, which is on the Triduum. The goal of this chapter is to explain that the Easter Triduum celebrates the joy of the cross.

-In math we are working on dividing two digit dividends by one digit divisors to find quotients with and without remainders.

-We are having fun with adjectives in English and we have been enjoying all the stories we've been working on in our new reading series. We just finished a story on coral reefs which went along perfectly with chapter 4 in science which was on ocean life.

-We are all looking forward to our field trip on Thursday, April 3. We are going to Shaw Nature Reserve in Gray Summit, MO. The name of our field trip is "Bugs, Beaks and Beasties and Earthwalk." Permission slips will be sent home this week. This is a wonderful field trip that gives students the opportunities to experience nature by observing, playing games, exploring, and hiking. They will be participating in many different activities. These exciting learning experiences provide first hand contact with the natural world and help students understand how life works. We are hoping for a beautiful day!!
