Happy Thanksgiving from Homeroom 4G!

We can hardly believe how quickly this year is going. We have been very busy in Homeroom 4G.

- In religion class we are going to begin studying the Ten Commandments. We are also going to be writing prayers of thanks for all the gifts God has blessed us with.

- We just took a test over chapter two in math, and will begin chapter three this week. We will be working with larger sums and differences and will be practicing problem solving applications involving addition and subtraction.

- We are working on chapter 4 in science, "Surviving in the Environment." The students have also received directions for their animal report which is due on Tuesday, December 11. Both fourth grade classes will have the opportunity to use the computer room to research their
animal during one of their science classes.

- We are working on singular and plural possessive nouns in English.

- We have been going over fact and opinion in reading and will be exploring figurative language. (This includes metaphors, similes, alliteration, and idioms.)

- The students worked very hard on their Spell-a-thon words!!!! Way to go Homeroom 4G!!!!

We hope that everyone has a blessed and wonderful Thanksgiving.
