We've been very busy in fourth grade.

We're so excited about our theme this year; "Mary's example leads us to Christ." We will be praying the rosary each Friday after Mass and the students will have a better understanding of the beautiful mysteries of the rosary. Hopefully, this theme will bring us all closer to Christ and help to build a greater appreciation for our Blessed Mother Mary.

We're also very excited about the Promethean ACTIVBoard that is in our room. It is awesome and we feel so grateful to have this wonderful educational tool to use.

We enjoyed planting Lima beans in science. We just completed our chapter on plant structure and function and will begin animal structure and function next week.

In math we are working on numeration and will be getting into counting money and making change next week.

We've been working on subjects and predicates in English and have also been practicing our writing skills.

In social studies we've been working on mapping skills and talking about the resources of the United States. We're also learning about the geography in our World. The students are learning about lines of longitude and latitude and about the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Hemispheres.
