Merry Christmas! The Season of Advent is a preparation time. The students have been preparing themselves through sharing their talents. They have created 'seek and finds' for the men and women in the nursing home, they have created cards, and they have visited the New Cathedral. Inner preparation was made during confession.
The students have displayed their creative side by making a book poster. The illustrating for the posters has taken the students to a higher level in their detailing and effort. The oral presentation allowed the students to practice their speaking skills, use of descriptive words, and sequencing of events.
The students have been studying the Middle Ages in Religion, as it relates to the history of the Church. Perhpas it is the greatest era in the history of the Chruch because of the tremendous influence the Chruch had in the world. Students are learning that it was the age of spectacular cathedrals, pilgrimages, and devotion, universities, and writings on Catholic teachings. The students are just touching the beginnings of this time period.
We have had the Geography Bee and there are two winners from the Great 8M Penelope and Henry, these are not the student's real names.
We hope that the school community has a blessed Christmas and that each family will put Christ first in their day.
Blessed Christmas and may we all share the love of the Christ baby.
