We are having a great time in school. We are busy learning many things. Our Halloween party is over. We had fun. Our parent/teacher/student conferences were held last week. We talked about our report cards and how well we are performing in school. We are reading for Raging Rivers now.
In Religion, we have learned about the Liturgical Year. We made posters identifying the Church seasons. We learned what each season means and what color is associated with that season. Posters are hanging in the room displaying the Liturgical Year.
In English, we are learning about singular, plural, and possessive nouns. It is very important to carefully write our sentences and stories so as to use the correct form of nouns.
In Science, we learned how cells divide. We learned how cells reproduce. We found out how we get our traits such as a widow's peak or attached earlobes, and we learned about scientists that worked on chromosomes and traits.
The spell-a-thon is over. We worked hard on the tests. We are waiting to see how much money we raised.
In Social Studies, we are learning about Native Americans. We are learning about the Northwest, Southwest, Plains, and Woodlands Native Americans.
We are learning how to organize our ideas and notes in various subjects. We have learned to pick out the main points in the subject and list them in our notebooks.
Our elective courses are in full swing. It is exciting to learn something new and different.
It is amazing how much we have done this month. We are looking forward to Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy the holiday. Count your blessings. We all have so much to be thankful for.
