Lent has begun. We have decided to offer up our morning snack on Tuesdays and Thursdays as a way to follow Jesus on his journey.

We want to thank St. Martin's for inviting us over. We celebrated mass with the parishoners. We enjoyed the talent show. The men at St. Martin's cooked a special meal for us. It was a great day.

We celebrated Valentine's Day. We passed out our cards and ate special treats. We had a wonderful time.

We had a visit from King Phillip and the Spanish Armada along with Queen Elizabeth and Sir Francis Drake and his English fleet. This was not a happy meeting for Spain. The Spanish Armada was defeated.

In Science we are learning about elements, molecules, compounds, solutions, and mixtures. We are learning about the periodic table. We are learning about atoms. We have a lot to learn about these topics!

Our Reading book report is due February 29. What luck to have the extra day to complete our reports!
