December News

Wow! It is December. We are almost halfway through the year. The second quarter ends December 19. Progress reports have already been given out and students are working hard to keep up their grades. So much is going on.

We have officially graduated from D.A.R.E. We had a great graduaton and party. It was great to celebrate with our families. We had so much fun practicing our songs and performing for our guests. We especially want to thank the fourth grade parents for helping with the refreshments.

We are in charge of the December mission project. We are collecting personal care items for the local pantry. We spent time making ornaments with items listed on them and then hung the ornaments on the Christmas tree. It is really neat to see the school participate in this project. Many ornaments have been taken from the tree. The items are accumulating under the tree. It is great to help out the less fortunate! We are truly following Jesus's example.

Our December book report has been a lot of fun. We are creating slide show presentations of our books we read this month. The reports are due December 12. The week of December 15, we will show our reports on the Promethean Board and explain our books.

We have been preparing for the Advent program. We can not wait to perform on December 17. Please join us.

We are looking forward to our Christmas party. It will be here before we know it.

Have a great Advent season and a very Merry Christmas. See you in January!
