Hi Everyone,

We're back to school in Homeroom KX!! I hope everyone had an enjoyable and safe summer. This year in Homeroom KX we have sixteen students; 8 boys and 8 girls. We are beginning our second week of school, and we are off to a fantastic start. The boys and girls have learned their days of the week song and the Macarena months already. This week we will be talking about the Olympic games. We will be making a book about the Olympics, and we will have the KX Olympic Games on Friday. The children will play some fun outdoor games (weather permitting), and they will all receive medals too.

In Religion, we are focusing on creation. This week we will discuss that God created the sun, moon, and stars. We will be making some fun crafts for this too. On Fridays, the school children gather for mass. We are very fortunate this year to have 8th grade buddies sitting with us. Our school theme this year focuses on the rosary and the mysteries of the rosary.

The Back-To-School BBQ will be on Saturday, September 6. Families are encouraged to attend the 5 p.m. mass before the BBQ. I hope to see my students and families there. Our school book fair is coming up also, and it will be open during the BBQ.
