Happy November!!!!!

In Homeroom KW we have been learning a lot of new and exciting things. Here’s just a taste:

In religion, we have been learning about the saints, and how we are all special and unique in God’s eyes. We have learned many songs and poems.

In reading we are really getting into doing some great reading. We are doing a play that goes along with our letterbook, and reading a paper book each week. We have learned a game called “Beat the Teacher”. We play this everyday to see who knows their sight words faster. So far the class is winning 5-0. We are enjoying learning how to read and sound out words.

In math we are working on learning our number words, and the values of the numbers of 0-10. We are also working with real money and learning to identify the coins and count the money.

We made turkeys with what we were thankful for on their feathers. We also had a group activity that we did for our door. The students did an awesome job working together.

The students from Homeroom KW would like to wish you and your families a very Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

There is a lot of learning going on in Homeroom KW. We are enjoying an exciting adventure!
