Hello from Mrs. Kreitner and the third graders!!!!
We had a busy month in October and have been learning some new and exciting things in November.
In reading we have been reading several nonfiction stories about the planets and space. The students have enjoyed reading these. We also presented our famous person/saint book reports. The children did a wonderful job presenting these, and really enjoyed all they learned about everyone's report. Great job to all of my students!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In religion we are studying about the different church seasons of the year. We also are working on the virtue of prudence. We wrote on a turkey how we could show prudence towards others. We talked a great deal about thinking before our actions take place.
We also created a thankful turkey. On each feather we wrote what we are thankful for,
We wrote prayers last month for the elderly that live in the nursing homes. We will be sending those off very soon.
In math we are beginning to work on subtracting with larger numbers. We are all anticipating the beginning of multiplication. I have already given the students some problems so they will be used to multiplication when it is here. They really enjoy being challenged, and I enjoy all of the enthusiasm!!!!!
That is just a taste as to what is being learned in my class. We are very busy and are really working hard in school. From the third graders and my self we hope you all have a Blessed Thanksgiving!!!!! We will update you again next month.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kreitner and 3C
