Our year in second grade is moving along rather quickly. It was wonderful to see the smiling faces coming out of the confessionals at First Reconciliation. They were so proud of themselves! We are getting closer to First Communion, too. We are just finishing our study of the Mass and will begin the chapter "We Go in Peace to Share God's Love."

We are making progress in Reading and will soon begin Unit 5. The study of time is our topic in Math. Help your child practice telling time using both kinds of clocks. Social Studies will include a study of America's Past. Before we begin that chapter, we will take the Unit 4 test, so it is a good time to begin reviewing. In Science we are finishing our chapter on heat, light and sound and will begin a study of force, magnets, and electricity.
