On March 3, we joined thousands of schools to celebrate Read Across America's birthday event for Dr. Seuss. For the last eleven years, students have signed up to participate in this fun event that celebrates reading. Our class was part of the fun.

We began by making glyphs of our favorite books and ways to read. We donned Cat in the Hat hats and invited our parents to share a story or two with us on Monday afternoon, March 3. We brought in blankets, pillows, snacks, and books. We were ready to read!

We enjoyed all the great stories we heard. The afternoon went by too quickly. A big thank you to everyone who participated.
