Time to Start a New Year

Welcome to a new school year. We are excited to be in seventh grade and seeing our year begin with faith, service to others, and plenty of academics. Our theme this school year is, "We are God's light to the world when we:walk with the poor, are meek and humble, share other's sorrow, thirst for justice, show mercy, are pure and holy, bring peace, and suffer for Christ."

We have been busy learning our schedule and going to our classes. We are becoming organized and prepared for our daily routine. The students move quietly through our hallways as we change classes. We are getting to know each other, and we are learning the classroom rules.

We have had several tests and assignments already, and the students are doing very well.

Seventh grade will have the responsibility to prepare the songs, petitions, First Reading, for the Friday Mass of September 21, 2007. All are welcome to share in the celebration. We also have been paired up with Kindergarten to sit together in Church. We are quite large compared to our little buddies, so the students took time to visit Kindergarten and read a story together. They had a very goood time. Then on Friday the 7th of September, Kindergarten shared a popsicle with us , and we gave them a bookmark . This will be a great memory for all of us.

We will be ITBS testing the week of September 17-21. Please make sure you eat a healthy breakfast, bring a nutritious snack, and get plenty of rest.

Blessings,

Mrs. Heredia
