Leaves in October

Welcome to October with the change in weather and the falling leaves. We have come to the end of our first quarter, and the students will be getting ready for parent, student , and teacher conference time. With that occasion coming quickly, the class colored autumn leaves and pumpkins to decorate our hallway. They did a great job I might add.

We went to the Pumpkin Patch with our Kindergarten Buddies and had a fun time.

The students have also been learning improtant information with Officer Perry concerning the program Gangs Resistance Education and Training. Officer Perry is doing a great job in motivationg and educationg the class. They enjoy his questions concerning old T.V. shows. If they get the correct answer, pencils are given away.

We are about to start reading To Kill a Mockingbird, by Lee Harper. We will also take a trip in January to see the play version at the Edison Theater.

In English class we will start sentences and their parts. We will be studying Jesus the Nazarene in Religion. We will take a look at the world Jesus lived in .

May God watch over you and keep you safe.

Blessings.
