Advent takes center stage in our lives as we prepare for the birth of Jesus. We have decorated the classroom with the hands of the seventh graders as our Advent Wreath. We have daily prayers and good deeds to do on our Advent journey.

We have finished our G.R.E.A.T. class with Officer Perry. The class really enjoyed their time together with him. Because they won a pizza party, we closed our last day with Officer Perry eating a slice of cheese pizza. We all had a fun time.

The seventh graders will participate in the Advent Concert on December 17, 2008. They are singing and doing a fine job of saying their speaking parts.

We also have planned a visit to Bent-Wood Nursing Home on December 18, 2008. The students have been making cards and will be singing songs and wishing good thoughts for a bright and Holy Christmas.

Our second quarter ends on December 19, 2008. We will look forward to the Christmas break to spend time with family and friends.
