The seventh graders are getting ready to present their oral presentation on a book of their choice. The presentations will begin the first week in May. They will pick a character from the book to portray. They can dress as the character, use simple props, or speak with an accent or dialect of the character. The presentation should last between three to five minutes.
We are in the Easter Season giving thanks to the Risen Lord. In Religion, the class just completed the chapter on choosing life and remembering the Ten Commandments. We also have a nest of birds that are about to hatch soon. They come every year, so we are putting our faith to work by choosing chirping. Of course the students will be surprised by all the noise the birds make.
In English class we are working on sentence structure and the kinds of sentences.
Presently in Literature, we are reading Fables.
The class will have fun on Field Day, April 25, 2008.
Best wishes for a warm and chirping Spring.
Blessings,
Mrs. Heredia
